Your role

As a Project Manager in our Technology Operations Retail Portfolio Team you will have a first-row seat at various business and technology-led initiatives which translate in the deployment of technology infrastructure to our store fleet across EMEA. We are searching for a highly motivated, self-starter and proactive Project Manager to provide tactical coordination and help efficiently deliver hardware to our fleet. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of retail technology infrastructure as well as strong communication, planning and project management skills.

You will drive the detailed planning and execution of all store visits where we deploy Hardware to our fleet. Infrastructure deployment to our stores can have different triggering factors, such as technical debt remediation, rollout of new technology standards or support of new digital capabilities, amongst others. Eventually, you could also be required to support in projects in the corporate side of our Technology Portfolio.

You will be part of the R1D = Retail Infrastructure Deployment squad within our Technology Operations Portfolio team. Technology Operation (or “Tech Ops”) is in charge or all aspects of Technology Infrastructure and the related support at Nike. R1D works closely with all our infrastructure, release management, support and territory teams, other Technology Functions, Store Operations and our multiple vendors, to name the main stakeholders. You will collaborate with business and technology teams across Nike, as well as our external vendors, to plan and execute the deployment of our technology infrastructure.

Core responsibilities include

  • Planning and scheduling of store installations at the task level.
  • Managing the procurement and logistics of the hardware to be deployed, including the
preparation/validation of the Bill of Materials, request of quotes to vendors, internal request of
purchase orders, tracking of deliveries and tracking of financials.
  • Coordinate project resources: make sure the right people are on point to execute and support the
installations. This can include third-party vendors, as well as on and offshore support resources.
  • Manage communications. This includes upfront coordination of the work with the stores and all other
    involved parties.
  • Maintain all required project and portfolio artifacts, such as portfolio dashboards, Kanban boards and
    status reports.
  • Manage key stakeholders (keeping them informed, engaged, and supportive), both internal – local,
regional, global, key business partners (Technology) – and external (vendors/suppliers). Coordinate,
maintain and leverage these relationships for the execution and timely completion of installations.
  • Manage changes and perform risk management and mitigation plans.
