Are you an experienced Medior Product Owner with an international track record in e-commerce? Have you worked in a start-up and or scale-up and ready to take the next step? If so, we are looking for you!

The professional we’re looking for is comfortable to work in a fast-paced international environment to gather requirements from various stakeholders, specify, refine and implement them with the Product team. You work closely with the Design-Development-Data and Product Management team and you report to the Product Manager. Prepare detailed specifications, assess technical feasibility, and address design and user experience-related questions in collaboration with the CTO and the design team.

Creating the best user experience is the number one priority, without losing sight of the commercial purpose of the iBuyFlowers product. 

Location: Amsterdam the whole team works together every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on-site

What will you be doing?

  • As the Medior Product Owner you will regularly discuss product improvements and new features with various – international (US & Colombia) – stakeholders to ensure product goals are met. The ideal candidate can therefore communicate easily and confidently.
  • In order to make the very best user products in the field of flowers, the Medior Product Owner cannot rely on a gut feeling alone. When new features are built, they are based on (market) research and best practices from support from UI researcher/ UX.
  • Define and prioritize your product backlog items together with the Product team to deliver maximum value to our customers.
  • Implement and improve e-commerce strategies to achieve our growth ambitions. 
  • Act as a critical thinker, effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable tickets for the development team.
  • Prepare detailed specifications, assess technical feasibility, and address design and user experience-related questions in collaboration with the CTO and the design team.
  • Be able to support the whole lifecycle of a request (requirement gathering, specification, design, handover to IT, testing, release communication)
  • Work closely with the Medior Product Manager to align on strategy and goals, but also demonstrate the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experienced with working with relevant product management tools (e.g ClickUp, Google Analytics, Figma or similar)
  • Work closely with the Product team (CTO and development team, Product manager, UX and UI, Web analyst)
  • Work flexibly to bridge different time zones.

What do you bring to the job?

  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner or 4-6 years experienced Business Analyst  in an e-commerce environment.
  • As a Medior Product Owner you are managing requirements and their entire lifecycle, ensuring smooth handovers within the organization, and staying actively involved during the implementation process. 
  • Experience in an international e-commerce scale-up with a proven track record of growth.
  • Experience with Scrum methodologies, and be flexible and adaptable in working within the evolving processes and structures of a growing company, balancing best practices with the need for agility and innovation.
  • A non-corporate, and an entrepreneurial mentality; you are hands-on
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly. 
  • Due to experience, the ideal candidate is adept at defining and communicating the required features clearly and translating them into product requirements perfectly. Smooth cooperation with IT is key, as is the ability to represent both the voice of the business and the voice of the users. 
  • A results-oriented mindset and the drive to achieve our ambitious growth targets.
  • Excellent command of the English language; proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to effectively collaborate with teams in different time zones (US and Colombia).
  • The ability to identify customer needs and translate them into actionable initiatives that drive necessary product or UI changes, with a focus on reinforcing and prioritizing growth.
