Nicole co-host in BNR radio show ‘Zakendoen’
Nicole is back on air!
Today Nicole kicked of her week of co-hosting the BNR radio show Zakendoen next to Thomas van Zijl. She will join him on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Thomas introduced Nicole and asked her about our core business at Spargle.com. Nicole talked about our unique approach, about how we select our exclusive network and how our Spargelists developed a smart algoritm for Schiphol to improve the cleaning of their toilets.
First guest of the show was Femke Brenninkmeijer, CEO of NPRC, inland specialist in Europe who happens to also be a client of Spargle!
Every day, a minimum of 200 barges operating under the direction of the NPRC are underway somewhere in Europe. In actual fact, the NPRC is the biggest cooperative active in European inland-waterway shipping. Each year, their organisation transports 13 million metric tonnes of cargo using the continent’s extensive network of rivers and canals. From Antwerp to Marseille, and from Rotterdam to Budapest.
Thomas and Nicole zoomed in on the German market and the impact of (current) politic climate on doing business there and how NPRC supports the members of their cooperation to be able to transport more cargo in this country.
In the last part of the radioshow Ruben Cusell from WeFilm, joined Thomas and Nicole for his weekly topic, Money and advertisement.
Ruben, Thomas and Nicole discussed the topic, reality in images for women who just gave birth and how their mental and physical stated is being portrayed, the so called Post Partum period. Getty images joined forces with the Australian underwear brand ModiBodi. They wanted to create realistic images because they saw that most of the images are focussed on depressions women can develop or the pain and on the other hand supermodels who are back in shape after two weeks.
The images they created reflected the authentic highs, lows and exhaustion. After publishing this campaign they saw an increase of 116% on sales.
Nicole zoomed in on how you can start discussing this topic as being a very sensitive one.
Listen here when you’ve missed the show (its in Dutch!) and tune in on Wednesday. Nicole will again be the co-host next to Thomas. One of the topics will be Ethics and business.
