Here’s another best-in-class professional that we would like to introduce to you. This time it is Matthijs Hielkema. Matthijs is a best-in-class professional who works for PVH.

Matthijs was introduced to Spargle by one of our Spargelists a few years ago. This was the first time he met Nicole. When a role became available at PVH early 2020, Matthijs came in contact with Spargle again. From that moment Matthijs became a Spargelist, a great asset to our beautiful network.

His first assignment at PVH was to cover for the director ecom experience CK during her maternity leave. During this assignment, he has been asked to lead also another team. This so-called ‘platform and product team’ spans across multiple domains including a major part of the digital product management for the ‘Owned and Operated’ sites for Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger across 26 countries in Europe and the partner programs with Zalando and AboutYou.

At the start, this team was still in its early stages. Over the past year, Matthijs has been working on building a scalable product organization, elevating processes and maturing the ecom platform to cater for the next stage of growth. As part of these efforts, he has also focussed on strengthening the ‘agile muscle’ – by building a team of scrum masters – to grow PVH ecom into a product-led organization.
